Hello Friend!
The other evening, Jeff and I went out to have dinner with friends. Because of everything we see happening around us, we started talking about how out of control things feel here in the US. (Of course, we are not the only country where things feel that way.)
We all tend to be pretty positive people, so it felt strange to be discussing everything we see going wrong, and none of us really wanted to leave the table on that note.
So I shared with them the 3.5% rule for creating peaceful resolution in times of socio-political unrest. For those of you old enough to remember, it’s exactly what the people of the Philippines did in response to Ferdinand Marcos’ human rights abuses and corruption. (More about this rule in video below.)
For highly sensitive people, when the world is out of balance, we feel it.
So inside SHE Rising Academy, we’ve adopted a practice that you might find helpful in moments when you’re feeling out of control. (This practice is a balanced response‚ in both yin and yang energy).
Consider asking yourself these two questions:
1) What needs to be Held in compassionate love? (feminine—still presence)
2) What action supports what you are Holding? (masculine—meaningful action)
When we left our dinner the other evening, I was offering a potential action step to take. I also know it is equally important to be clear about what is needing love that I’m willing to Hold in daily meditation practice.
To help you get some ideas about what you might want to Hold and ways you might want to take action (including applying the 3.5% rule), I created two videos for you.
If you haven’t watched them yet, I invite you to check out the videos below. Then join us for our March Full Moon Ceremony, where we’ll be focusing on being Safe in the Unknown.
