Even as a new volunteer to SBC, Becky Wurzer always felt as though she had purpose and direction. "This is not something you often find
with huge volunteering efforts like STEMLink", she says, "The excitement from the
students for the day of programming is contagious from the moment they walk in
until they board the busses. The opportunity to be able to participate in
and share STEM related fields and topics with young minds is incredible. Even
as an adult in the STEM field, I learn something new each year I participate. I’m always amazed with the students engagement in the sessions,
asking questions and wanting to learn more."   Pictured is Becky in her element at STEMLink as a Team Leader of team Einsteinium. Becky feels the STEMLink Program is a remarkable opportunity. She says, "Students have a unique opportunity to gain
exposure from a variety of STEM related topics, teachers, and interactions with
new people that is unlike any other program I've been a part of."    To nominate an SBC Red Shirt to be featured in the Red Shirt corner, please email Betsy Narr. |
