STEMLink⁵ will also take place May 19, 2016 at Century College in White Bear Lake! Space is still available. If you have of or know a fifth grader,
this event is not to be missed!

| | Creativity Festival for grades 5-7
The 2015 Creativity Festival for grades 5-7 at the Science Museum of Minnesota took place on December 1, 2, and 3.
Over
900 students learned a lot and had a blast attending sessions such as squid dissection, choreography,
programming, 3D printing, veterinary care, storytelling, and aerospace
engineering (to name a few). |
| | Middle Grades Knowledge Bowl
Middle
Grades KB started the season in November with a Super Hero Kick-Off
Meet! Prizes were awarded to students (and coaches) with the best
costumes. |
| | "Red Shirt" Corner
Joanne Kennedy has been a volunteer since the beginning! You might recognize her as the woman behind the headquarters table at the Young Authors Conference, the Creativity Festivals, and STEMLink⁵... Joanne volunteers her time all over the Twin Cities; we are so lucky and grateful that after all these years she still finds time for SBC!
"When I retired Gina said, "Do I have a job for you!" and I have enjoyed every one of them. My favorite volunteer job is being at the Headquarters Table; you get to meet all of the Presenters (and then panic when they are late). SBC is a great organization to volunteer for. It is a great organization to donate to, especially on Give to the Max day. Every event is my favorite; every time I volunteer it is something new."

Creativity Festival for grades 5-7 was December 1, 2, and 3 at the Science Museum of Minnesota.

at the Ted Mann Concert Hall, UMN.

Knowledge Bowl
Middle Grades Season is well underway, starting in
November and ending in Febuary.
Senior High Season begins in a week and ends in March.
Senior High Knowledge Bowl State Championships are April 13 and 14 in Brainerd, MN at Cragun's Resort.
