History and Pedagogy for Holocaust and Genocide Education

This program provides intensive training in Holocaust history and sound pedagogical methods and strategies for teaching about the Holocaust.

Participants will:

  • Work effectively and comfortably with primary sources, archives, and artifacts that apply the skills of historical inquiry while creating a lesson or module that enhances their unity of study for students,

  • Develop their own classroom specific rational, learning goals, and lesson or module that will be immediately applicable in their teaching,

  • Utilize program-provided tools to select historically accurate, age-appropriate classroom resources for their unity of study,

  • Distinguish warning signs as we examine how and why the Holocaust happened as well as examples of genocide,

  • Demonstrate an understanding of at least two examples of genocide (as legally defined and declared) that can be incorporated into your teaching,

MS & HS Solar Energy Learning Program - No cost to teachers or schools


August 4, 2026 & August 5, 2026

(must attend both dates)

BrightWorks and We Share Solar are partnering and inviting 10-15 middle and high school science teachers to participate in a fully funded, hands-on solar energy learning program for the 2026-2027 school year. The "Solar Suitcase" curriculum includes 5-10 hours of interactive lab lessons. Teachers receive a two-day paid training ($300 stipend) and a set of ten Solar Suitcase Learning Kits to keep at their school. There is no cost to teachers or schools. We Share Solar also provides spare parts and support if a kit needs repairs.

Introduction to MnMTSS 6-session pathway

The BrightWorks COMPASS MnMTSS Regional Leads will be facilitating the Introduction to MnMTSS 6-session pathway in person.


For teams that want to maximize their meeting and travel time, we will have the space and time to meet on either side of the sessions from 8:30AM - 9:00AM and 11:30AM - 12:30PM.
