Hi Friend,
Hope this finds you well! As promised this newsletter will be a bit of a re-cap of the last couple of months, some fun memories and travels, a lot of I don't share on social media - just for you!
First off, I would REALLY appreciate if you could fill out this brief survey. This is important market research for us from YOU, my friends and fans, to help us with marketing, promo and merchandise for the new album release. There's only 8 questions, with "check the box" answers. Thanks!

| | January was a very exciting month for the band, now titled 'Matt Baker and the Trio' ! We had the APAP (Association of Performing Arts Presenters) industry showcases again at both the Hilton hotel and Gin Fizz Jazz Club in Harlem. We had a very healthy turnout of jazz industry folk and some very successful connections made - in fact all goals hit. We are already moving forward securing some very exciting performances and tours for the year. Lots of photos below!

| Upcoming gigs in New York! For those in NYC looking for a little late night jazz hang on Friday, I'll be playing with singer Tamuz Nissim at a funky cool bar in the west village called Bobo - no cover, drinks, 11-1am.
Saturday Jan 30th, I'm looking forward to presenting 'An Oscar Moment' in the Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Centre, Hackettstown New Jersey. This is our tribute to Jazz Piano legend Oscar Peterson, featuring a lot of his beautiful (often unknown) original work, plus his classic swingin' hits. Tickets almost sold out! Click here for ticket info.
The new album had a lot of attention and great response at the industry showcases last week. Its still with a few record labels (a couple more now, post convention), and we are aiming to decide by early February whether it will be released independently or through a label. Either way, we're planning a very large marketing and promo campaign, and am very excited about whats in store for its release! - Already a couple of CD release shows booked in, and more coming.
I invite you to check out my new website! The whole years calendar is there, and proud to say I've become a bit of a SquareSpace fan (nerd?) in the meanwhile, also taking some lessons at the SquareSpace offices in New York too,
Lastly, here below are some fun moments from the last few months! Take care, hope to see you in Australia or New York soon.
xx Matt
PS - don't forget the survey above! Thanks!
