Hello Friend,
Happy Dussehra. 🏹🙏
There’s a story often told about Ravana’s final moments. You won’t find it in the Valmiki Ramayana — it lives in the tales people have passed down for generations. But whether it happened or not, the lesson has outlived him, and that’s what matters today.
As the story goes, as Ravana lay dying, Ram sent Lakshman to him — not to gloat, but to learn. Because even an enemy that powerful carried wisdom worth taking.
And his very first regret wasn’t the war, or his pride. It was this: he had kept postponing the good he meant to do, and rushed toward the things he shouldn’t have. The good, he always thought he’d get to later. Later never came.
Even Ravana — with all his power, all his brilliance — was undone by one thing. He waited.
I see this every day in the people I work with. You already know, in your heart, the right thing to do. The bold move is clear. And yet you wait — because the loud, fearful voice inside says “not yet, not you, maybe later.” So the ask, the application, the conversation, the leap gets pushed to a “soon” that keeps slipping further away.
That voice isn’t protecting you. It only ever costs you.
You don’t lack the answer. You never did. You’re just postponing it — and every postponed bold move quietly becomes a regret you’ll carry.
This whole month was about Bold Moves. So let that old lesson be yours: the good you already know you should do — do it today. Don’t wait for the fear to leave. Act while it’s still there.
Happy Dussehra. Stop waiting.
Jai Shri Ram 🙏
To your Happy, Rich, Liberated being,
Sakshi Chandraakar
