Dear Friend,

We are thrilled to have you as a member of Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund. As someone who understands the challenges facing independent food producers, you are one of our most powerful advocates.

We have opened our Spring membership drive and are asking for your help spreading the word. If you know farmers, ranchers, homesteaders, artisans, or food lovers who care about food freedom, please share this with them. We have included a ready-to-use message below that you can copy and paste into a social media post, email, or text:

I'm a member of the Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund, an organization that provides access to legal research and advice, a 24-hour emergency legal hotline, and policy advocacy to fight for the future of small farms and independent food producers like me. If you are a rancher, farmer, or food producer, I recommend that you join for these vital protections, for only $140 a year.

FTCLDF is running their Spring membership drive, and I especially wanted to share this with my customers and supporters. Those who purchase food from smaller independent producers like myself clearly care about access to real, healthy food. To support those struggling to produce and sell locally, consider joining FTCLDF as a consumer member for $60/year.

A note on dues

For the first time in eighteen (18) years, FTCLDF is implementing a modest dues increase. This increase helps us respond to growing demand as more producers face inspections, citations, land-use pressure, and nuisance complaints. Current members renewing on or after May 1, 2026, will receive notices in mid-April regarding renewal at the new rates listed below. If you have a credit card on file, it will automatically be charged at the new rates.

Updated dues:

  • Farmer / Rancher: $140

  • Homesteader: $80

  • Consumer: $60

  • Artisan: $140

  • Affiliate: $275

FTCLDF remains independent — funded by member dues and mission-aligned donors, not government grants or industrial agricultural interests.

Thank you for your continued membership and your part in this important food freedom movement!

Thank you for all that you do in producing local, healthy, and sustainably grown food in your community!

In good health,

Alexia Kulwiec
