Subject: ACT NOW! Illinois Hearing on Your Right to Garden on Feb. 25!

View this email online if it doesn't display correctly
Hi Friend,

On February 25, 2020, the Illinois House Cities and Village Committee is considering passage of its new so-called “Right to Garden Act," House Bill (HB) 4704.

Despite the name, this law provides that local cities and villages may regulate gardens, including food and herb gardens, as long as the regulation does not preclude the garden altogether.

This could impact homesteaders and family gardeners alike!

Please call your Illinois State Representatives and let them know how important it is to garden unimpeded. See action steps below.

And share this alert with friends and family in Illinois.
