Last Weekend for the Hall of Heroes Exhibit!
The Superheroes are getting ready to be transported to their other dimensions so hurry to Sloan Museum of Discovery to learn about being superhuman and your own super powers! The last day for the Hall of Heroes special interactive traveling exhibit is Sunday, September 7. Just $5 plus General Admission (General Admission is always FREE for Genesee County residents). Includes entry to the special Hall of Heroes exhibit in the FUN Gallery, plus all four other primary galleries making up Sloan's 107,000 square feet of science, history and hands-on fun for everyone! "Golden Memories" Car Show | Sept. 21, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. A free auto gathering for vintage car enthusiasts, now in its 31st year, takes place on the grounds of Sloan Museum 9/21. This very special event is exclusively for original or authentically-restored vehicles produced in 1975 or earlier. The Golden Memories Automobile Gathering is sponsored by Friends of Sloan-Longway, Roaring 20’s Ice Cream Parlor, and Hot Dog Heaven, making it free to exhibitors and attendees. |

Meet The Instructor: Dena Bostwick
Dena has been practicing yoga for over 15 years and is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher. She’s trained in Michigan and Thailand, and loves teaching a variety of styles from Vinyasa and Slow Flow to Yin and kids’ yoga. Her passion is helping others use yoga to find balance, build resilience, and connect more deeply with themselves. |

First Friday Live Lecture | "Mysteries of the Aurora" Friday, Sept. 5, 2025 @ 6 p.m.
Mike Murray, Manager and Resident Astronomer of the Delta College Planetarium, examines the Sun-Earth connection of the Aurora Borealis, commonly called the “Northern Lights,” and why our magnetic field is key in creating this mysterious phenomenon. He’ll also look at the stories and folklore of the aurora, from Canada and Scandinavia to the southern hemisphere where they are known as the Aurora Australis. |

Second Fridays will feature "Science in Pop Culture"starting this Friday with Isaac Asimov's Foundation. Written at the dawn of the nuclear age, Asimov's Foundation Series envisioned a world where humanity had achieved unparalleled advancements in psychology and nuclear physics.
