MEMBER MONDAY: The Behind-the-Scenes Caretakers of the Soan History Artifacts
Sarah from Collections Takes Members on Behind-the-Scenes look at Cleaning and Caring for Sloan History Gallery Artifacts
The Sloan Museum holds an expansive collection of historical archives and artifacts telling the story of Genesee County, Michigan. Ever wonder how those exhibits on display stay so clean and dust-free? There's a collections crew whose job is to be caretakers of the artifacts on display, as well as the 48,000+ artifacts in storage. Sarah Dickenson, Registrar and Exhibits Liaison in Sloan's Collections department, shows our members the meticulous behind-the-scenes care of our exhibits that are on display.
