MEMBER MOMENT: Collections Move Team Behind-the-Scenes!
Collections Move Technicians Take Us Behind the Scenes of Artifact Relocation
The Collections Move Technicians Chad Hitchcock and Meghan Bleck say they have a very rare job to do: Move nearly 20,000 artifacts back into the new Sloan Museum of Discovery, log them, then shelve and label them where they can be easily located as needed.

We captured Chad and Meghan in action last week as they were in the process of this meticulous and important project. Chad and Meghan say they are relocating about 200 artifacts per day and are nearing 8000 logged artifacts to date. We wanted to let our Members learn more about their behind-the-scenes work and asked what were some of the interesting artifacts they have logged and relocated thus far. Take a listen.
Member Moments is a new perk for Members that takes you behind the scenes with Sloan Museum of Discovery and Longway Planetarium.
