Job Description: The Development Assistant provides overall administrative and records support to the Development Director of Sloan*Longway. This includes keeping all donor records, extracting data from Tessitura and Altru to produce mailing lists, donor queries and reports; generating correspondence and handling confidential phone calls to/from donors and their professional advisors. Other responsibilities include preparing presentations; maintaining hard files, handling invoices; support for small donor/cultivation events. Composing and sending all donor acknowledgement letters. Job Title: Marketing Assistant *Full time position
Location: Longway Planetarium and Sloan Museum
Reports To: Marketing Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt – Full-Time
Job Description: Sloan Museum and Longway Planetarium are seeking a Marketing Assistant to implement daily marketing operations, including social media management. In social media environments, this role is responsible for cultivating Sloan Museum and Longway Planetarium’s brand as thought leaders in space science and regional history, as destinations for family fun, and as premier resources for hands-on science and social studies field trips, outreach programs, and Girl Scout and Boy Scout programs. Job Title: Part-Time Educator
Location: Longway Planetarium / Sloan Museum
Reports To: Curator of Education and Outreach Programs
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Description: The educator will conduct classroom and gallery programs for school groups, other organized groups and the general public both on-site and at off-site locations. Educators will handle setup, presentation, and clean-up for programs and keep the program curators informed on supply inventory. Individuals working in this position may assist program curators with the development and testing of new programs. This position requires a flexible schedule as programs may occur during morning and afternoons on weekdays along with some evening and weekend work. Job Title: Part-Time Custodian
Location: Flint Cultural Center Facilities
Reports To: Custodial Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Note: Shift: Varies; Weekends and nights & Hourly rate varies based on experience
Job Description: Under the direction of the Lead Custodian, the Part-Time custodian will be responsible for the day to day housekeeping of the buildings, heavy cleaning when needed, meetings, special events and classroom setups.
