Correction: Golden Memories Car Show Sunday, September 17, 2023
29th Annual Golden Memories
Sunday, September 17 - Flint Cultural Center

Enjoy a car show featuring vehicles that have celebrated their golden 50th anniversary. Free for both car owners and event-goers.

This very special event is exclusively for original or authentically-restored vehicles produced in 1973 or earlier. No visual modifications are allowed, including wheels and hubcaps.

The Golden Memories Automobile Gathering is presented by Attentive Industries and sponsored by Friends of Sloan*Longway, Roaring 20’s Ice Cream Parlor, and Hot Dog Heaven, making it free to exhibitors and attendees.

HIGHLIGHTS
• The first 160 vehicles receive dash plaques.
• Driver and one passenger will receive free general admission to Sloan Museum of Discovery (does not include admission to REAL BODIES special exhibit) and Flint Institute of Arts.
• Drawings every hour for two free hot dogs and an ice cream cone.
• Suitcase Swap Meet: Vehicle owners can sell or trade item(s) small enough to fit into a suitcase next to their vehicle.
• Vehicle Owner’s Choice Award: Vehicle owners can vote for the award winner.
• Youngest Registrant Award: Given to the youngest registrant, this award inspires younger generations to keep our golden memories alive.
• Special recognition for cars 50, 75, & 100 years-old with a pass-in review.
• Next year’s dash plaque winner is selected through a lottery-style drawing.

Trailer parking will be in the FCCA or Whiting Auditorium Parking Lots, and the show will continue to be the same, laid-back, DJ-free event that you love. Registration is on the day of the Golden Memories event on the north side of Whiting Auditorium in the parking lot.

REAL BODIES: THE EXHIBITION at Sloan Museum of Discovery
This powerful exhibition explores life by displaying real, perfectly preserved human bodies and more than 200 anatomical specimens. Founded on anatomical, cultural, and emotional narratives, the exhibition transforms the way we view the mysterious organism we all share - the human body - and reminds us of all the complexity and magic within us that we often take for granted. Recommended for 12+, but all ages welcome. Learn more. Buy tickets (tickets have timed entry). The exhibit is open until 8 p.m. on the 2nd Thursday of each month (September 14). Exhibit tickets include admission to the entire museum.
