HEY will take the Main Stage at Woodstock 2016

One of the most important Polish rock bands, HEY has been shaping the Polish musical landscape from the very beginning of their work in 1992. Their music – outstanding compositions combined with Katarzyna Nosowska’s honest, moving lyrics – took the public by storm in no time. The band’s debut album “Fire” from 1993 still remains one of the mightiest productions in the library of Polish rock. In the 20 years of their work, the band has experimented with an array of genres from grunge and alternative rock to electronic music.

After the release of HEY’s tenth album “Do Rycerzy, Do Szlachty, do Mieszczan” the band decided to once again square up with acoustic arrangements. Having completed a promotional “Unplugged” tour, they released “HEY w Filharmonii, Szczecin Unplugged”, which was a symbolic return not only to their previous album “MTV Unplugged” but also to their home city Szczecin. The album became available in June 2015, shortly followed by a completely new studio album “Błysk” promoted with the single “Prędko, prędzej”.

Since their last appearance in front of the Woodstock audience 12 years ago, there has not been a band that has been as widely requested to make a comeback. We are delighted to confirm that the unique act will play for us again!

Corruption joins Woodstock Festival Poland

The band Corruption was set up in April 1991, by P. Horne (vocal), Chicken (guitars), Aniol (bass) and Melon (drums). In May'92 the band recorded their first demo tape. “The Ultra-Florescence” recording was released by Carnage Records in February'93. In the meantime Corruption played many gigs with Vader, Armagedon, Cryptic Tales, Schismatic. From April to June '94 Corruption were recording their debut album entitled “Ecstasy”, which was released in January '95.

The band's style is best described as a fully fledged stoner rock, and their records are a staple in any metal music collection. On June 2nd, 2007 Corruption was a special guest on Orange Goblin’s only Polish show in Wrocław. Corruption appearance on the bill was strongly requested by the British stoner legends themselves. In February 2011 Corruption’s latest album “Bourbon River Bank” was nominated to the most prestigious Polish music award “Fryderyk” in the category of “Metal Album Of The Year”.

Having played a a special guest performer during the Woodstock Preliminaries in Prague the band is an anticipated act of this year's festival!

Prague Preliminaries Winners join Woodstock Line-up

It was the first time we decided to hold the competition for a spot on Woodstock Festival Poland line-up abroad. We never anticipated or hoped to encounter so many great and energetic bands anxious to perform this summer in Kostrzyn. Our friends from MusicMap.TV invited 9 bands to perform in a free music concert in Futurum Music Bar in Prague.

Our esteemed Jury decided to invite the two bards that impressed them the most to play at the Second Stage of Woodstock Festival Poland 2016. We are going to see Denoi from Czech Republic and Bod Omylu from Slovakia perform at the Most Beautiful Festival in the World this year!
