The Dead Daisies joins line-up

Since exploding onto the scene in early 2013, The Dead Daisies have taken the classic rock world by storm, releasing two albums to date & touring with the biggest names in rock including: ZZ Top, Aerosmith, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bad Company, Judas Priest, KISS, Whitesnake and Def Leppard.

Influenced by 70’s and early 80’s hard rock, The Dead Daisies sound is soulful and accessible – equal parts of The Faces, Bad Company and Foreigner: muscular vocals, bluesy riffs, big choruses, powerful melodies and strong hooks. With stellar musicianship and pulverizing live shows, fans across the globe are discovering the band that is bringing back rock & roll!

The Dead Daisies feature in their ranks some of the finest Rockers on the planet. The band has just recently announced the addition of Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake, Dio) as their new lead guitar player. He completes a powerhouse lineup that features John Corabi (Mötley Crüe, The Scream), Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake), Brian Tichy (Ozzy Osbourne, Foreigner) and David Lowy (Red Phoenix, Mink).

Rocky Dawuni confirmed for Woodstock Poland

Ghanaian international music star, activist, and 2016 Grammy Award nominee Rocky Dawuni has leveraged his popularity across the African continent to bring his unique Afro Roots sound to global audiences and champion social causes. Over the course of his career, and the release of six albums, his radiant grooves and dance-inducing anthems have consistently excited fans, including some of music’s biggest stars with whom he’s performed and collaborated: Stevie Wonder, Peter Gabriel, Janelle Monae, John Legend, and many others.

Influenced by the soulful beats of Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti, the positive messages and deep grooves of Bob Marley and the infectious, sing-along anthems of Michael Franti, K’naan and Matisyahu, Rocky Dawuni’s songs straddle the musical boundaries between Africa, the Caribbean and the US to create a universally appealing sound that unites generations and cultures.

TZN Xenna to play at Woodstock 2016

Formed in August 1981 in Warsaw, TZN Xenna’s initial line-up consisted of Krzysztof Chojnacki a.k.a. “Zygzak” on vocals, Mark Kucharski a.k.a. “Markus on guitars, Tomasz Kożuchowski a.k.a. “Gogo Szulc” on drums and Piotr Dubiel a.k.a. “Czomby” on bass, however the last member soon left to join the band Deuter, and was replaced by Jacek Ziętała a.k.a. “Sydney”.

The band represents a true punk-rock spirit in their music and stage presence, and by many critics TZN Xenna are considered to be one of the flagship bands of Polish punk-rock scene. Such was their influence and impact on the punk subculture in the country that TZN Xenna was featured in Ewa Skurczyńska’s documentary on Polish subcultures shot by the Polish National TV, and in a report on Polish punks produced by the Western German TV station ARD.

In December 2011, for the first time in 24 years, Xenna played in Warsaw. Their concert in Punkt Radio Luksembourgh attracted almost 800 people. The audience were shouting themselves hoarse singing along. New songs “Kałasznikow” and “Wolacy” were well-received. Gogo Szulc, the band’s original drummer, appeared in the encore songs “Guma” and “Religia”. The last days of the year saw the release of the TZN Xenna’s second 7" EP after “Dzieci z Brudnej Ulicy” entitled “TznXenna 1981-2011”. The entire first batch of records were sold in presales.

In November 2012, the band released their first studio album „Dziewczyny w Pogo”. The album contains 7 new songs and 6 old gems. It’s intriguing that this is the first studio album of a band who has been there for 31 years!
