The holidays are right around the corner and I wanted to remind
you that you don't have to starve for the next two months just
because enrollments slow down a bit.

Here are some ways to pick up extra money over the holidays...

* Sell gift certificates ($99 for six weeks + a uniform... have
the uniforms on-hand so they have something to put under the
tree).

** Have a big holiday pre-sale where students order stuff from
the Century catalog. They pre-pay for the orders, and you deliver
them prior to Christmas. Get with your Century rep to coordinate
it ASAP. It can mean an extra grand or two in the weeks between
Thanksgiving and Christmas.

*** You can also sell gift certificates for a block of private
lessons - that one also does very well during the holidays if you
offer a good deal on a block of lessons, say 1 for $60, 2 for
$100, 5 for $200, 10 for $300. You can make a wad of cash quick,
just make sure that you stipulate the lessons have to be used
within a 60 day period... otherwise you'll be teaching private
lessons until next Christmas after that money is gone.

**** Have a holiday kids camp. Charge around $25 a day on those
days most parents don't have time off but the kids are out of
school.

Start planning ahead NOW so you are ready and have all these
ideas in place. Waiting until the last minute will mean missing
out on income that will help you deal with the holiday season.
