New Leadership Program Offered for Primary Care Providers
Ready to change healthcare in Colorado? Primary Care Movers and Changers (PCMAC) is a new, advocacy-focused leadership training program from the Regional Institute for Health & Environmental Leadership in partnership with the CAFP and other primary care groups. The program is free, and open to a wide range of primary care providers who practice in underserved metropolitan communities, or who are from an underserved community or background. Get hands on leadership training that will prepare you to advocate for the healthcare changes you believe in. Learn more and apply now. Deadline March 15, 2018. 


Mistaken Dues Invoices Sent
The AAFP recently sent out dues notices to new physician members who had already paid their dues. The AAFP sent a corrective email after this mailing, to those physicians affected. CAFP’s Bill to Increase Investment in Primary Care Drops in March
CAFP’s Primary Care Investment Legislation, which aims to increase spending on primary care from the current 5-7% up to 15%, will drop in March. This is part of CAFP’s efforts to spur payment reform, support the infrastructure to sustain Patient-Centered Medical Homes, and address physician burnout. Free Clinic Seeking Volunteers

The Neighbor Outreach free Health Clinic in Denver, CO is seeking physician volunteers. Volunteers could donate their time in 3 hour blocks once a month or once every other month, providing general Family Medicine services to the needy of our community. Free malpractice is provided by the federal government. We do not provide opioids, benzodiazepines, marijuana or birth control (as we are housed in a Catholic Church).

New! Colorado Children’s Immunization Coalition Provides 2018 District-by-District Immunization Fact Sheets

In order to bring awareness to local immunization coverage levels and underscore the importance of high immunization rates, the Colorado Children’s Immunization Coalition (CCIC) is pleased to provide a new tool for Colorado legislators and their constituents. The 2018 Legislative District Immunization Fact Sheets provide district-level immunization data for each Senate District and House District across the state, including district-specific school immunization and exemption rates, levels of community protection against vaccine-preventable disease outbreaks, and recommendations for improving immunization coverage throughout Colorado.

CCIC encourages you to use this data to inform local discussions on immunization-related policy and in meetings with your legislators. All fact sheets, as well as additional dashboards, may be viewed and downloaded at childrensimmunization.org. To order high-quality prints of these fact sheets and other advocacy materials at no cost, please visit CCIC’s online store.
