I've recently been playing around with a new piece of Artificial Intelligence developed by the guys over at Race Advisor, and I have to say I'm very impressed.
In a nutshell, this has the ability to:
1. Look at the current race and find every other race in their database that was similar.
2. Take the races it found and test hundreds of factors to find the ones which have the most predictive ability.
3. Use those factors to give each horse a score indicating their likelihood of winning.
4. Do this accurately enough that the top three horses win 50% or more of their races.
There's been quite the buzz about the software since it's been made available to a small number of the general public, and for good reason.
Some members have reported profits in excess of 150 points - and that's just since the beginning of last month!
