Subject: Results & New Value Hunter Video...

I recently added a new lesson to the Value Hunter training series...

In this lesson, we explore a range of the other factors that can affect a runners performance in a given race.

I've provided example sets of criteria for these factors, which can be used to rate each runner and compile our odds. As shown in the video, the vast majority of of the information required can be found on the Racing Post website.

Also included is a downloadable version of these factors & criteria, so you don't need to copy these out or refer back to the video when finding your value bets.

And this brings us to April's elephant in the room...the performance from BackLucrative this month.

I normally only provide performance updates at the end of each quarter, but I thought taking a moment to reflect and shed some light on the situation would be beneficial, especially for the sake of newer members who have yet to see any profit.

The main probable cause for the recent downturn in performance is the above average profit levels seen during the first quarter of 2018.

This has a tendency to balance out over time, and as explained in our welcome video, losing runs are an integral part of each and every approach to betting (even the most profitable!). We typically go through 2 or 3 sustained losing periods each year.

Another potential cause for the upset may have been the unpredictable ground conditions during the switch between the NH and Flat racing seasons. Fortunately the weather has begun to stabilise more recently.

As a small consolation, Flat Flyers has got off to a flying start this month, in line with the beginning of the flat racing season, and this has managed to offset our loss figure somewhat.

It's great to see that the vast majority of members (old and new) have stuck to their guns during this difficult period. After providing substantial profit for five years running, I think it's safe enough to assume that we will see a marked improvement from the service over the coming months.

In the meantime, thanks for your ongoing patience, and for choosing to treat your betting as a long term investment!

Kind Regards,
Michael
