Hello everyone, this is the last note before we get together.

It is beautiful in Dallas right now but it isn't going to stay this way. Although the forecast still has time to change, I'm making plans to pack up the vans early Monday morning and drive four hours into Arkansas where the odds of clear skies look very good right now.

On Saturday we have reservations at a nice restaurant two buildings away from our hotel. We'll meet in the hotel lobby at 7:00 p.m. and walk over. I'll be hanging out at the hotel bar getting massively drunk, which is difficult since I don't drink, so come on down earlier if you would like.

Sunday we'll meet at 9:00 a.m. in the conference room we have reserved. We'll go over final details, including where we are going to see the eclipse, and assemble our solar filters. We'll do an extensive walk-through of the shoot, either in downtown Dallas or in the hotel parking lot.

Monday departure time depends on where we are going. At this point I'm leading toward the road trip, although that may change, and a 6:00 a.m. departure, although that may change. If we are going to downtown Dallas, we'll leave at 9:00 a.m.
