Yesterday was the Celebration Of Life for my 28 year old cousin who died unexpectedly last week.
Even before the road trip to be with my family, I noticed something on Facebook...
There was an outpouring of love and admiration for her that had a different energy to it than other FB posts about losing someone.
Part of it was her age but there was more...
It was an authenticity of the bond between her and her friends and her family. She touched so MANY people in her short life.
And they weren't just missing her, she was part of them.
She was the down-to-earth, beauty, with overflowing love for her friends and family... and Harry Potter.
You may have had this same experience with someone you have known or lost.
It was the first for me so that's why I'm mentioning it here.
I realized yesterday in a standing-room-only church that Krisda shared ALL of herself with the people in her life.
What came to mind days before was solidified in that moment and the afternoon party in her honor that followed...
Here's the message that came to me strong and clear:
We rarely live how we want to be remembered.
We tend to live based on what other people will think about us right now, today, and tomorrow... not when we're gone.
I'll write an article about this topic too because it's important.
