Ooh! Turn on your images! You're missing Everything.
Hey Friend, are you making the most out of your week so far?

Does keeping a positive mindset ever seem like another task on your to-do list that you just don't have time or energy for?

One of the major reasons of frustration is people stress. Yes, it's a thing.

Here are a few simple words you can switch around to communicate better and get your needs met faster. Sounds good, doesn't it? ðŸ˜Š

My clients learn 18 and I'm sharing 3 of those with you here.💖

Try, and Tried
These words imply failure and at the very least, doubt. And they have for countless generations. It's already embedded in your DNA so the solution is using different words and phrases.

After all, when you accomplished something, you did it. If you failed, you said you tried. "I'll try" is often used as a cop-out. "At least I tried" sounds like "poor me, I failed again."

Alternatives: give it a shot, see if it works out, practice (that is the best one if it fits the situation), do it, I did it, I'll do it, I'll be there, I'm getting better every time.

Don't and Not
The subconscious mind sees in pictures and it can't visualize a negative. It grabs onto the action word in a sentence and deletes the negative.

You say, "don't do it that way," or "I don't want one of those" and the person you're speaking to hears this, "don't do it that way," and "I don't want one of those." This is why people often do the opposite of what you ask or want.

It's not your fault but it IS your responsibility now that you know. That is, IF you want better communication and relationships. 😊 Remember, blame gives your power away.

Alternatives: say what you DO want. "Do it this way," or "I want one of these."

No Problem and No Worries
They suggest there is a problem or something to worry about when there isn't. Your subconscious mind goes to look for and solve a problem, which causes unnecessary internal stress.

These phrases are often used as slang to replace, okay, or thank you, especially common with millennials. By a server in a restaurant when you ask for something or by cashier after you say thank you.

Alternatives: thanks, thank you, you're welcome, okay, great, I'll be right back (server), enjoy your day.

It's time to speak half as much with twice the effectiveness. No more endless explaining what you meant or stress and frustration over why people do what you told them not to (kids too!). Most people aren't being rude or rebellious. Do you and them a favor by using empowered language. It changes conversations and relationships, lowering your stress level and reducing overwhelm. ðŸ’–

You ROCK! 💖
