Happy New Year, Friend!

January is traditionally a month of new beginnings, of wonderful visions of joy and happiness, a slim toned body, fulfilling work, financial abundance and healthy food choices because we are doing things differently - adding this, deleting that. ๐Ÿค—

And February is traditionally a month of the end of MANY of those new beginnings that delivers self-doubt, frustration and a lack of confidence. Ugh! ๐Ÿ˜•

Let's do it differently this year because all that January stuff can be too much.

Here are my 3 quick tips to help you avoid January overwhelm so you feel better by February instead of worse. You're welcome! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Tip #1: Pick ONE thing to improve during January. Just ONE. โ˜๏ธ

January is a nice new shiny month. But there are 12 nice new shiny months in your year.

If you have several things on your resolution or intentions list, pick one for Feb... and one for March, etc.

Determine which is first by figuring out which will make the others easier when their month arrives. ๐Ÿ™‚

Tip #2: Start slow instead of jumping in with both feet (and avoid stopping things too abruptly).

If you are just beginning to exercise, start with a LIGHT workout once per week. Then twice per week, then 3 times per week.

If that feels like you might lose your momentum, maybe once every 5 days or so is better for you.

When it feels doable and you notice you feel better, more flexible (after the 2nd day sore and stiffness), and more energized with better sleep (both from working out AND from feeling good about yourself for doing it), it's something to look forward to instead of dread. ๐Ÿ˜Š

If you are beginning to get up earlier for Me-time, get up 5 minutes earlier for a few days, then 10 minutes earlier until you reach a comfy 30 min or an hour by the end of the month.

You aren't throwing your entire body clock off this way. Instead, you're lovingly adjusting it. ๐Ÿ’–

If you are eliminating fast food, coffee, alcohol, etc. do it a little at a time so you won't feel deprived and will instead feel happy with yourself and successful. Make it DOABLE... so you'll DO it. ๐Ÿ˜‰

If you find 4 different business, career or crafty programs you want to take, pick the most important ONE you KNOW you'll do, complete and get success from.

Tip #3: Do what's best for YOU so you are at your best for those you care about.

It's easy to do SO much for others, with your good heart, that you put You on the back burner.

And while I'm no chef, most stoves have TWO front burners, Friend. And you deserve to be on at least one of them. ๐Ÿ™‚

Remember that it's common to have FOMO (fear of missing out) when others are doing something we want or think we "should" be doing.

Even when it's going ALL IN on the resolution train that may be overbooked AND on a crash course.

Look at it this way...

If you "doable" your New Year intentions this way, there won't be any FOMO when many others are back to their old frustrating ways and you're excited every month to make progress with something new.

Just imagine feeling accomplished and happy with yourself because, You ROCK!
