How was 2024 for you? There was crazy weather, natural disasters, a stressful election and new diseases to name a few. How did you do personally? Did you reach your goals? Get healthy? Follow your God-given purpose? Or not so much?
Today is good day to reflect on this last year and make some decisions about what you want this next year to be like. The choices are yours. You can change your thinking, your feelings and your life or you can keep things the way they are. What will it be and how do you do it?
"Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?" — Isaiah 43:19
That was my secret sauce...relying on the hope God has given in His word.. so how do you apply it? Here's a few suggestions.
🌱 Build New Habits: Small steps lead to lasting change!. Consider adding daily prayer, reading, journaling and taking more time to bring gratitude to your routine. Consider grabbing a copy of my "Speak to Me God I'm Listening-365 Daily Meditations for Those Who Want to Hear God Answer Life's Toughest Questions" You can get a Kindle copy for just $.99 or a hard or soft copy HERE Check out the sample on the bottom of this email.
🤝 Find Your Community: Healing is easier with support. Connect with others who uplift and encourage you in your goals. (Join our 3 G's support group where we post AM and PM to focus on Gratitude, what you are Good at and Goals) Find it HERE
💖 Practice Grace: Forgive yourself and others as you navigate the journey of recovery. If you have struggled with an addiction there may be many regrets but start now to practice the Serenity Prayer "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference" It is hard to do but the good news is that . "God's mercies are new every morning" (Lamentations 3:23). Here's one of my videos on starting the new year fresh and letting go of the past Go HERE
🏆Take the Challenge: If you are an older woman (or anyone else) who is ready to join us in our ongoing Sober Holiday Challenge that will move into our Sober January. Try out sobriety and see how it feels for a month. You can start by joining the 5 Day Sobriety Challenge and set up a strategy session with me so I can help you set up a plan for 2025. If you have been on my Purpose Driven Recovery Academy site in the past, it has changed... we went with a new platform and got it all set up and they went bankrupt so we are in transition, but you can still get great content and challenge material as well as download my Sober Survival Guide all by going to my website HERE
I am so grateful that God led you to me and that you have been a blessing to not only me but to those in your life that have been and will be changed in the future just by being you.
Have a wonderful safe and sober New Years!
In God's love
Linda
