Subject: Join Our Sober Mother's Day Celebration

In recent years, the "Mommy Wine Culture" has woven itself into the fabric of American society. This trend, characterized by memes and merchandise touting phrases like “Mommy needs a drinky,” “Mommy juice”  and “My kids whine so mommy wines” paints a humorous yet troubling picture of modern stress management.

I just ran across an Etsy search page for Mommy Culture and found several artists that did etched glasses and other items. The glass said "Mom's reasons to wine" followed by the list of the names of her children. On another page was a baby body suit that said "Mommy drinks because I cry."

Mother's Day is this week and I decided to do a celebration for moms and daughters who are joining the sober movement because they realize how destructive alcohol is to our bodies, brains, and lives.

Unfortunately, in many ways, our society seems to be going in the opposite direction and the evidence is clear that rather than facing the detriments of alcohol it is being sensationalized. The article above goes into depth on why it is a problem.

The goal that my colleague Tammy Obermeier and I have with the Mother's Day Celebration is to encourage and support those moms, grandmas, and other women who are joining the sober curious movement to at least give sobriety a try and let their brains and bodies heal so they can feel what it is actually like to be free from a substance that can alter our chemistry so dramatically.

Any woman who joins the celebration will receive a free coaching session, entrance to our 5-Day Mindful Sobriety Challenge with all the resources and a Kindle copy of my book "Speak to Me God I'm Listening-365 Daily Meditations for Those Who Want to Hear God Answer Life's Toughest Questions"

Cland exclusive discounts to our 12-week and one-year HOPE for Recovery Programs.
