Lord, Send Out Your Spirit,

and Renew the Face of the Earth

The refrain for this feast's Psalm is a perfect reminder to the power of God, his very Spirit. This is a celebration of God's power and activity among us. It gives us a chance to reflect on how God has moved in us and through us.

apostolic-times.com continues with context for the season's readings. In Acts 2, the Spirit descended upon the followers at Pentecost. In 1 Corinthians 12, St. Paul reminded his audience about the spiritual gifts. In John 20, the Risen Christ breathed the Spirit upon his disciples.
