Dear Kid Chess Parents,

Welcome to the Kid Chess club at Virginia-Highland! We are excited about seeing all our chess students Monday, September 14th.

This semester will be filled with exciting chess, bughouse, and blitz games and targeted lessons to ensure your young chess player increases their skills and interest in the game.

Virginia-Highland Chess Club

Days & dates
Club meets on Monday, starting September 14th, and ending December 7th, with Trophy Day.

Club times
• 1st Hr - 2:15pm - 3:30pm
• 2nd Hr - 3:40pm - 4:40pm

Media Center

Club does not meet
9/7, 9/21, 10/12, & 11/23

Pick up location

Dismissal will be at the front of the school. Parents will need to park and enter the Front Office to pickup students.

* On days when chess club meets, Parents must change their student’s end-of-school-day dismissal procedure for every student enrolled in VHAS Extras, in PikMyKid including full-time VHAS Aftercare students.

**Second-hour drop-off: Please arrive at the first-hour dismissal, and our coaches will receive your child from there.
