Subject: re: Comet Ison is on the way! And here is the latest ..............

Hello Friend,

Well, it seems every time I hear about another Comet coming our way, I have visions of Comet Kohoutek ,
which you may recall, was hyped by the media, and turned out to be a gigantic flop.

Comet Halley, which arrived in 1986 (the same time Khan Scope started in business incidentally), was a much
grander experience.

and now...............

Comet ISON Is On The Way!

The year 2013 has been heralded as the "Year of the Comets" and it's not over... until it's over! While Comet PANSTARRS has faded gently into the reaches of space, Comet ISON is quickly approaching to take its place. The icy traveler has now cleared the eastern horizon for many northern observers, but is still very faint - an estimated magnitude 14. However, ISON will continue to brighten as it nears the Sun and the Moon leaves the morning skies.

Will the comet become as bright as predicted?

Right now experts feel Comet ISON may only reach the brightness of Venus, but that's still within easy visibility of the unaided eye and small optical equipment.

Will the comet break apart as it reaches perihelion?

No one knows for sure, but all eyes are on ISON!

Keep an eye on the skies and we will keep you posted!

Clear Skies,
