Subject: How a convicted criminal observed a solar eclipse.

Hello Friend,

On June 16, 1806 in Cooperstown New York, convicted criminal, Stephen Arnold, was taken out of his windowless
cell in shackles to view a solar Eclipse.

Hopefully he was inspired enough to lead a different life after that.  Or did he end up in the gallows?
I'm not certain.

I was out this morning first thing after my cup of coffee observing the Sun with my Coronado Solar Scope.

The warmth of the sun felt great. Heck, I did not even put on a jacket.

I was still in my PJ's actually.

Observing the sun is something you want to do safely and use the proper equipment.

My Coronado is a dedicated Hydrogen Alpha telescope specifically designed for Solar observing only.

It's a telescope alright  but I can only use it to observe one star: Our Sun!

Many amateurs have no idea how much fun daytime astronomy can be.

You can see solar flares, and the activity on the solar surface changes on a regular basis.

Plus, the Solar Eclipse is going to be visible throughout north america this year on August 21st.

If you can get in the path of totality, then you will have an experience of a lifetime.

There is nothing like it, I promise you.

Now is the time to be the 1 in 1000 people who will see a solar eclipse in their lifetime.
(I've seen three).

And for the next 10 days, you can save on Coronado H-alpha telescopes right here.
