Subject: Does Santa Claus really exist?...

Hello Friend,

     That's a question I pondered when I was about 6 years old.

When I was a kid growing up in London, England in the early 1960's, Santa (or Father Christmas as he is
better known as in the UK) would actually come around to my school just before Christmas
visit each classroom, and each kid would get a toy.

    It was really pretty cool.

Then I recall telling my parents that I really  wanted a racing car set; The ones back then were pretty
simple, consisting of a figure 8 track and two slot cars racing side by side, and the key was to try to
at least stay on the track by not going to fast around the corners.

  After waking up early on Christmas morning it wasn't there , under the tree;

Imagine my dissapointment!

However my Dad told me to go look outside in the sky to keep an eye out for Father Christmas,
as he apparently was running a tad late this year, and would be along soon enough.
(Oh yeah, didn't pay to stay up all most of the night and run down really early in the morning
  to the Christmas tree).

So I  went outside and stood in the driveway, for at least an hour looking up towards
the sky, then finally went back inside;  and lo and behold, there was the race car set assembled and ready to play with!

It was a wonderful surprise, and I was quite happy with it, and relieved that Father Christmas
had not forgotten me after all.

And then I believed that Father Christmas did indeed exist!

What joy...:)

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you  a wonderful holiday, Friend, and a
very healthy and happy 2014.

Merry Christmas!

PS And this is also the time of year to watch my favorite Warner Brothers Cartoon, starring Sylvester the Cat,
called "Gift Wrapped".  Sylvester wakes up on Christmas morning, all excited about running down to the
tree, and looking for his gift from "Santy Claus"....and all he get's is rubber mouse........
