Subject: And edjumacation at the Celestron booth

Hello Friend,

The interesting thing about attending events like NEAF (Northeastern astronomy forum), is that many of the
major manufacturers send down their key executives and sales managers  to work at the display booth's so they can get a real
feel for what is actually happening in the marketplace.

That's a good thing, because usually these guys and gals, don't usually get to meet and talk with the
frontline customers:  amateur astronomers.

Sure they talk to dealers all the time, but talking to actual end users, well it's a whole different ballgame.

It sure was entertaining for yours truly when I went to the Celestron booth, and observed some of the conversations
taking place.

Fortunately, a lot of  the managers actually started out in sales, or in retail operations and have great
product knowledge as well.

However, I had a slightly different question to ask the management, and it was this:

"Who was the "brilliant" person to come up with this promotion of running a telescope sale
for both the NexStar SE series and the Nexstar Evolution series for one bloody week?"

Usually when we run a sale or a promotion, it's for at least a month, to give folks a chance
to take advantage of it.

Why not this time?

The response I got was: "We've never had the NexStar Evolution series on sale, and we didn't
really want to put it on sale, so we decided we would do it, but only for one week".

     Fair enough.

I had really wanted Celestron to put this product line on sale for our customers  because I've been
using one myself the past year, it's an excellent product.

And unfortunately, that sale ends today, April 30th.

Your last chance to take advantage.
