Hello Friend,

Ever since the telescope was invented, it has done more to change the course of  our understanding of
the universe than likely any other invention I can think of.

That is why your telescope should be s an important part of your life.

It has a job to do; to reveal to you the many wonders that exist beyond the realm of terra firma.

Every time I look at a Planet, or a deep space object I am reminded of this truth, and I hope you are too.

The telescope is a the great equalizer. We look through it in wonder, and it never ceases to amaze.

Is your telescope still bringing you the great joy it was meant to? If it is, that is wonderful.

If not, ask yourself why.

Are you using the excuse (and it is an excuse!) that it's too cloudy in the city to see anything?

Well , consider that   even in heavily lighted polluted Toronto, you can still
Observe  brighter objects: I can see Orion, the Pleaides, Jupiter, Saturn, Mars and even the much
maligned Moon.  

Yes, I understand that the Winter is not that pleasant, however if you dress for the occassion, it can
be a true moment of joy!

An observing session can be anywhere from 5 minutes to several hours. Just make the time.

If your current equipment is not supporting you in this mission?

, then perhaps it is time to upgradeit or change it so something that suits your present lifestyle.

Telescopes have changed much over the past few years in size and design, so the excuse that
"the scope is too heavy to lug out or too much work to put together" no longer applies.
(Yes, I was guilty of that same mantra a while back, and then just got a more portable instrument that
suited my purposes, amen!)

"It's cloudy again'!

Sure it is; but it ain't cloudy every night folks!

Come on.....I usually take a walk every day in the evening,
and it's amazing how many times it is clear.

Of course, you ain't gonna see that if you are inside watching
the tube every night either. Just sayin'!
