Pothole Brings Man Back from the Dead

When driving around town, the worst part of the year will always be winter. Even here in Chicagoland, when orange barrels are a year-round nuisance, winter brings hazardous road conditions with ice, wet leaves, and... the dreaded potholes. I hear that Mel's Hole in Washington started as a pothole - but that's just a rumor. That I just made up.

Yet, in a bizarre turn of events, an 80-year-old man from Haryana, India, declared dead by doctors, defied all odds, and returned to life, thanks to an unexpected encounter with, believe it or not, Ripley, a pothole. And despite my propensity

The True Story of Oak Island and Arcadia. By Cort Lindahl - PART I

What if the story of Oak Island is essentially a fictional story that had been told long before anyone supposed the presence of treasure there? Is it possible that this story had been applied to the island for reasons other than inspiring the reader to look for treasure? The truth may reveal that the entire saga was meant to inform one of the true nature of the name Acadia (Arcadia) while also displaying the contentious history of what would eventually come to be known as Nova Scotia. As the story unfolds, it is clear that the French and English factions of Nova Scotia and the other maritime provinces had a distinct value of the Arcadian concept from the same Greek mythology.

A value of Arcadia also involves a value of navigation with regard to the Pole Star

7BC -- Phrygia, Asia (Roman Empire)

A Roman Army and a group of Mithradate Warriors were poised for battle and ready for the charge when a huge object descended from the sky and hovered between the two.  Each Army Immediately retreats and went their separate ways. Greek philosopher Plutarch wrote about a Roman army poised for battle and ready to the Mithridates: “But presently, as they were on the point of joining battle … all of a sudden, the sky burst asunder, and a huge, flame-like body was seen to fall between the two armies. In shape, it was almost like a wine jar, and in color, like molten silver.”

According to Plutarch’s and other accounts, both sides were stopped in their tracks at this astonishing site, and each immediately retreated and went their separate ways.
