I've failed at many things in my life.

Sometimes in the early hours the thoughts come back to haunt me, and I
wonder how I could have been so stupid.

For example, I've bought many expensive European cars.

And some high-end Japanese ones too - like the Lexus hybrid owned by
royalty and ex-Beatle Paul McCartney.

The car buying wasn't a fail.. I enjoyed them all immensely.

But trading them in after just a year or two - and losing tens of thousands
of dollars each time - was crassly stupid.

Even though I could afford them, this wasn't the best use of my funds.

It gets worse.

I've been married for over 40 years.

At the beginning I spent a lot of time away, working 24/7 and neglecting my
family.

That was stupid, but thankfully they still all love me.

More?

Many years ago I declared myself bankrupt after a business failure.

Even though it was mainly the economy at fault, I blame myself.

I could go on and on, but the stupidest thing I have EVER done is this...
