Last issue I recommended you change your Profile when you had a win. Leon C. wrote me and asked: --- Ken, You say that I should choose new numbers once I have won a prize with my current set. I have played the current set in the South African 6/49 since October 2002 (149 draws), and have won the follwing: Match 5 1 (R4,600 or about 800 Aus dollars) 4 18 (R240 each or about 40 Aus dollars) I have also won 208 small prizes of about R25 (4 Aus dollars) in this period. The match 5 was won in December 2002. Are you saying that the chances of a major win has been seriously diminished since then? What is the criteria in win size to change numbers? Regards, Leon C. (address supplied) --- Congratulations on your numerous wins, Leon. In giving this advice I relied on the fact that most players only use a few lines of their Profile. I don't know how many lines you play each game. I always recommend to get the most out of the Honest Lotto System, players should wait until they can afford to play the full number of system lines. Playing reduced lines will give reduced chances. Usually it's no more than waiting a few weeks for most players. But many people can't delay - they NEED to be in each game, even with playing a reduced amount. There are two answers here. First, the new Lotto-80 system will help players better choose the weeks they should be playing. This means they can afford to wait until Lotto-80 tells them to play as many lines as they can. And secondly, if a player does have a substantial win - for example 6 numbers excluding the bonus number - if the game plays that, then indeed, it's time to change the numbers. There are no firm figures though. In a further system development I'm working on, I use "bands" of numbers to encourage selection. These bands affect the numbers around a Profile selection. When the band is identified around a major win, the Profiles should be changed. But that's a further development. In the meantime, change when you win 6 numbers in a 6-number game. Keep playing the same Profiles if you win 5 numbers in a 6 number game. 2) ARE YOU GETTING YOUR NEWSLETTER OK? A tiny percentage of readers are making life difficult for the rest.
