JV Farms
 Update  9-30-15
Baby Goats on the Way!!!
We will be moving the goats over to the MilkBarn soon and have started working on their pen.

Billy the Kid has been doing his job and we have already recorded the breeding dates on two of the does. Looks like we will have baby goats about the same time we have baby calves!
Fridays at the MilkBarn
We have lots to do at the MilkBarn and have dedicated Fridays to be the day we are there. stop by the milk barn an see what we have in the freezer and the cooler. Someone will be there from 11 to 6.
New Pasture Pork Cuts
Our Fall Pigs are starting to finish, which means we have new pork cuts available: Fresh ham roasts, butt roasts, picnic roasts, breakfast chops, thick chops, fresh bacon and 2-lb packs of German sausage links. We also have roaster chickens and stock parts for some amazing stock.
Drought Affecting Wildlife
Over the past week, we've noticed wildlife starting to get a little closer to the house and MilkBarn. It is dry, dry, dry and the animals' water supply is either really stagnant or totally dry. They are looking for water and anything green. We've seen deer in the front yard of the MilkBarn, rabbits everywhere, birds coming in for water and the coyotes are getting braver...which isn't a good thing!
On the Board this Week....
Pasture Chicken: Roasters, Broilers, half Broilers, livers and stock parts.

Pasture pork: Chops, Fresh side Bacon, Breakfast Sausage, Italian Sausage, Andouille Sausage, German Sausage, Roasts, Ribs and Liver.
