JV Farms
 Update  8-26-15
Farmers' Ball at the MilkBarn
This weekend we hosted a BBQ and Potluck at the MilkBarn for several of our vendors, farmers and friends. Jay manned the grill for some great BBQ and everyone else pitched in with potluck dishes. It was great to visit and see everyone outside the market. Farmers really are social, we're just on a different schedule.

Even though it was pretty warm, some of our youngest guests used that time-proven method of cooling off...holding your skirt (or shirt) tail over the fan! And of course, Wilfred the Barn Dog, got plenty of attention.
Making Hay
We're cutting the hay meadow across the road from the MilkBarn for hay and should be finished by the weekend. This was the first year that we ran the chicken tractors through this field and the difference from last year is pretty amazing! The chickens help the ground so much! Next year will be even better.
Monthly Meat Share
This is the last week to sign up for our Monthly Meat Share. The first delivery/pickup in mid-September and delivery options are available.

Whole share is $100 per month with 16 pounds of pork, chicken and beef and half is $50 per month for 8 pounds of pork, chicken and beef. *Each month will be different!* Maybe we should call this the Meat of the Month Club!!

Example of a full share:
2 whole chickens, bacon, breakfast sausage, link sausage, chops, ground beef and fajita/stew meat

All members will receive 10% off additional orders of other JV Farms goodness when available.... eggs, milk, pork, chicken, veggies, berries and JV Farms events.
On the Board this Week....

Pasture Chicken: whole, half and cuts.

Pasture Pork: Chops, Breakfast sausage, Chorizo sausage, Italian sausage, Andouille sausage and Superior Bratwurst.
We're going to miss the Green Market of Hot Springs Village Thursday but you can find us Saturday at the Historic Downtown Hot Springs Farmers Market from 7 to 12.
As always you can email, text or call in your order to insure availability.
