| | | | Busy, Busy Busy on the Farm Today Mother Nature has moved us indoors…maybe for the rest of the week. But it is a much needed break for tired farmers. The calves are all here and we have started to milk the cows. They still need a couple of weeks before we keep milk, but we'll soon start booking people for weekly milk pick-up.
Sadie, one of our Lamancha does, had her kids last week, two boys - Frick and Frack. There's nothing cuter than baby goats! Now, we're waiting on Spider Goat to kid. She got her own pen yesterday and seemed happy about it, but we will see if the Escape Artist decided to stay in...She is the Spider Goat.

| | | Ready to Grow... The new greenhouse at the MilkBarn is already full and starting to overflow. Anytime you build a greenhouse...that is the first thing you see...it isn’t big enough!! We have Swiss chards, Dino Kales, Red Kales, cabbages of many varieties, broccolis, Napa Cabbage, squash, nasturtiums, zinnias and more. All are growing like crazy with this early spring and the Fish Fertilize, sea kelp and other stinky organic fertilizers we love.
The garden spot at the MilkBarn is ready to go.... well was. This rain! We will wait for it to dry back out, and go again. But we will be planting these babies soon. We are so excited to be back to gardening this year. |
| | | Schedule
Find us every Friday at the MilkBarn 11 to 6.
Saturday at the Historic Downtown Hot Springs Farmers Market 9-12. And more goodies are coming to the market now. It’s worth the trip! |
