"We live by the scripts we are given until we consciously choose to re-write them"

Happy August! This year is really turning out to be an incredibly 'interesting' one in so many ways and fast moving change along with continual realignment is definitely one of the most prominent themes I am seeing / experiencing.
For many years now I have facilitated an 8:8 Lion's Gate process, and this year I was being drawn towards the 12 August which is the first in this eclipse season. I just knew that it was important even without any details.
And then yesterday (in true 'things land at exactly the right time' mode!), I came across some different language around this eclipse that immediately resounded in my bones and I realised why the pull had been so strong.
The phrase 'flipping the script" is one that is used in a multitude of ways and applied often to our conscious ability to re-write the themes of our lives. Yes, we can do this - and then there are times when the universe conspires to reconfigure these on our behalf ad catapult us into new spaces, new identities, new 'roles'. This August eclipse season is one of those times! It is, in my experience, almost impossible not to be impacted by it.
This excerpt from 'astrobutterfly' provides a concise description of what we are dealing with through the solar eclipse - as well as a hint of the deeper significance of the Aquarius - Leo axis adding it's flavour.
"The Sun is our identity, and Leo is also our identity – not the instinctual Aries drive to exist, but the identity we wear on our sleeve: I’m a mother. I’m a doctor. I’m an artist.
When the lunar principle comes in and overrides the Sun, our conscious identity becomes flooded with unconscious material we were not aware of, had neglected, or had simply decided wasn’t that important.

All those buried needs, desires, and truths come rushing through, demanding to be acknowledged.
The Eclipse cracks us open at an identity level, showing us what is crucial for our development and what MUST be integrated so we can become more fully ourselves.
The Solar Eclipse is trine Saturn, supporting long-term growth and giving structure to whatever is trying to emerge.

I'm a Leo, so the identity issues are probably more pronounced, but regardless, the Leo aspect challenges our concepts of Sovereignty along with the Aquarian 'humanitarian' influence. When looking at previous periods influenced by this very configuration I can see immediately how my own life was (very) profoundly impacted, as well as how there were more broad collective awakenings taking place. It has always fascinated me that so many people of my generation (LOL), experienced some form of awakening in 1998/1999 - which was my first one too.
There are lots of other additional influences supporting a more conscious, but no less impactful journey through this window. Perhaps take a look at the previous cycles and see what kind of themes have been prominent in your life - awareness is consciousness! When we follow this with appropriate action (or actions guided from our increasingly prominent sovereign, divine, True Self!), then great changes can be effected in the world. Even if it is simply the decision to start saying 'NO' more often.....the power of more and more individuals becoming conscious is becoming ever more evident and indeed, important!!
So this eclipse season is very profound as the world needs our re-identification beyond the scripts in order to restore balance.
