"“Whatever you do; do it like a lion, wholeheartedly.” — Harsh Tiwari
Hi Friend
Probably like so many of you, I look around in almost bewilderment and wonder where the year has gone - it is in fact a common statement/question I hear on an almost daily basis now. The hours, days and weeks blur into a stream of moments - an emotional rising and falling of responses to a barrage of 'intrusions' and punctuated by joy, grief, laughter, despair, births, deaths, sadness and beauty. The emotions move and then we are able to settle once more into the love that is our own stillness. The storm rages without even as the love that we are becomes stronger within. It truly is a weird and wonderful time.
July passed by without our regular teleclass as it simply wasn't 'landing' or flowing.....so I let it be what it needed to be. There was a lot of loss and grief being processed, both personal and collective which I'm sure many of your are also experiencing. It's a natural aspect of all we are going through, and it also softens us even while we are becoming more powerful in who we are.
This natural way is a profound wisdom coming to the fore in our 8-8 Lions Gate community gathering!
We all know by now what the premise of the Lion's Gate is and its
relationship to the heliacal rising of Sirius. Historically it has
always represented a period of renewal linked with the 'rising of the
Nile' river and its ability to renew the land with its life-giving
water. The now well known 'Lion's Gate' represents the peak of that life
affirming period, a time of honouring our human existence in harmony
with the cycles of nature. It is also a time of gratitude, peak
creativity and higher solar activity, especially in the Northern
Hemisphere. In addition, the symbolism of the Lion linked to the
Solar strength, stirs within us the courage and fearlessness to face
into both the natural and unnatural challenges of what 'life' has become..
We
are learning to master the ability to create a new paradigm in the
midst of insanity and madness as our world continues to break down
around us. There is a powerful tone of renewal, Stoicism and courage
from a Still Internal Prescence through this time that is assisting us
to unfold more of our True Self from within.
What does Stoicism have to do with this, and what exactly is it?
Stoicism
has been referred to as one of the most enduring practical philosophies
which originated with the great Hellenic philosophers over 2000 years
ago. It brings a a refreshing focus and relatively 'simple' philosophy
on how to live a good life, dealing with hardship, taking personal
responsibility, and reducing stress and suffering. It is based on the
very natural attributes of being a fully authentic human being and the
following quote perhaps encompasses the fundamentals of Stoicism :
A
Stoic is someone who transforms fear into prudence, pain into
transformation, mistakes into initiation, and desire into undertaking.”
– Nassim Taleb
July has also been a time of creating, and I have some additional new essential oil offerings for you. Please scroll down for more info!
