"We live by the scripts we are given until we consciously choose to re-write them"
Hi Friend
I came across a post by Jeff Foster recently that really sparked a deep realisation with me - one that has inspired our next gathering on 29 October (which btw is a fabulous 11-11 day that I hadn't realised until now 😉) For those that may not be familiar, the 11-11 is an energetic window, a time out of time that reminds us of our Diamond Beingness and the Truth of who we are.
This was the post :
"I might offend a few people here, but I think “spirituality” can easily become a mind-blowingly sophisticated way of abandoning ourselves. See, I used to believe that the more “spiritual” I became, the less human I would feel. Less afraid. Less angry. Less doubtful. Less affected by the world. I thought “awakening” would make me somehow… untouchable. But life humbled me. Many times over. Broke my heart. Brought me to my knees. Stripped away so many of my beautiful spiritual concepts and dreams. And I’ve come to see something that I wish I’d understood twenty years ago: *Sometimes the desire to transcend our humanity is just another way of abandoning ourselves.* We call it “letting go”, but sometimes it’s just giving up on our own heart’s deepest longings. We call it “detachment”, but sometimes we’re just terrified of intimacy. We call it “peace”, but sometimes we’ve simply gone numb. We call it “enlightenment”, but sometimes we’ve just found a more sophisticated way to hide from life. I say this with so much tenderness, because I know that hiding place so well. I lived there. I won all the trophies for hiding. These days I’m not interested in being enlightened. At all. I want to be… fully here. With a trembling heart. With unfinished grief. With a love that makes me so damn vulnerable and open. I want to be touched by life, even when it hurts. I don’t want a spirituality that protects me from being human. I want one that gives me the courage to be fully human. To feel. All the way. All the damn way. Even when I’m a mess. Especially then. - Jeff Foster"
Jeff Foster is one of those 'teachers' that shares truths through the simple resonance of his words and insights. What dropped in for me is expressed on the following page along with an opportunity to join us for an 'energetic resonance' as we generate and amplify a deeper internal alignment.
Hope you will decide to join us!
