For over 20 years, Dan Dennehy has been photographing art and cultural life at museums in the Twin Cities, first as staff photographer for the Walker Art Center and presently as Senior Photographer and Head of Visual Resources at Minneapolis Institute of Art. This presentation will review the opportunities and challenges involved in employing new methods of documentation to achieve museum quality results.
Interacting with Color: The Art and Teaching of Josef Albers
Fritz Hortsman is the Artist Residency and Education Coordinator at the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation, where he has worked since 2004. Hortsman will shed light on the artist's influential exploration of the art, science, psychology, practical application, and magic of color.
This Is Your Brain On Paper
Daniel Dejan has been an evangelist for the power of paper and print for the span of his career. He is the face of the Sappi etc. (education-training-consulting) Group at Sappi North America. Dejan will present a discussion of ink-on-paper in comparison to digital communication and cover how the sense of touch influences readers' perception and retention of brand and marketing communications.
