The Print & Packaging Legislative Summit is the signature government affairs conference hosted annually in our nation’s capital. This collaborative event brings together printers, suppliers, and allied interests for a powerful program of issue advocacy, political education, public affairs discussions, interaction with Members of Congress, and networking events on Capitol Hill. The Summit will be held in conjunction with National Association of Manufacturers’ (NAM) annual Manufacturing Summit.

Who Should Attend

Need To Know: EPA's Updated Hazardous Waste Rule

In 2016, the EPA finalized a rule that updated the hazardous waste generator regulations to make the rules easier to understand, facilitate better compliance, provide greater flexibility in how hazardous waste is managed, and close important gaps in the regulations. This rule went into effect in May of last year and all states must adopt the new provisions by July 1, 2018. These changes may affect how your business handles hazardous waste. This webinar will provide an overview of the new rule, what's changing, and how it might affect your business. Additionally, Marci Kinter and Kaitlin Rundle will share some resources you can use to help comply with the new hazardous waste regulations.

Walking and Working Surfaces: Overview

Walking and Working Surfaces: Ladders

Many operations use ladders to complete daily tasks--including accessing elevated areas for repairs, installing products, or retrieving stock. Using a ladder may seem simple, but when used without proper training, it can actually be dangerous and lead to workplace injuries. According to OSHA, about 20% of workplace fatalities can be attributed to improper ladder use. Knowing how to correctly use a ladder and what safety regulations you should be following is essential to keeping your employees safe. In this session, Gary Jones discusses OSHA requirements for ladders, including use and training requirements. This webinar will also cover compliance resources, including checklists, available to you.

Walking and Working Surfaces: Fall Protection

OSHA recently issued a final rule on walking-working surfaces that included new sections regarding the use of personal fall protection systems. Among other changes, employers may now choose from several accepted fall protection systems including guardrails, safety nets, personal fall arrest systems, and others. The rule also adds new training requirements for employees using personal fall protection systems. In this webinar, Matthew Crownover will provide an overview of the new requirements, compliant fall protection options, and resources available to you.
