New Events for 2017!!!

As we begin a new year, what are some of your goals for 2017? Maybe you’d like to learn a new skill, finish a college degree, eat healthier, exercise, get better sleep, or even read your Bible more.

Those are some awesome goals that will help us improve in a lot of areas.
But maybe there are areas that aren’t so easily fixed by our best laid New Year’s Resolutions. How about getting over insecurity or fear of what people think, dealing with hard and hurtful situations, learning how to really care about people even when they don’t seem to care about us; being a good worker, student, employee, even when we don’t feel like it; overcoming temptations, struggles, and habits that aren’t good; or being a better ambassador for God’s Kingdom in this crazy world we live in? These are some areas where it seems that no matter what we do, not much changes.

So when it comes to stuff like this, what’s the most important thing we can do this year? Maybe it’s realizing that it’s not always about what we do. Maybe there’s another way to really change.
Come on a Journey this year, and we’ll talk about these things and many more relevant issues!
Or have you already been on a Journey? You can always come again with the alumni discount or we have some new events coming up to help you continue to grow and find the Answer you’ve been looking for.

New Events for 2017!
This year, we are very excited to have a Journey Reunion, June 28 – July 2, in Oak Brook, IL. The focus is fellowship, the format is fun, and the goal is uniting around the goodness of God!
In August, we have two new events; one for single guys ages 18-35 (August 3-6) called Men on Mission. There’s a battle going on around us, and we need able-bodied men who want to make a difference! For single girls ages 21+, The Overlook is for you (August 17-20)! We’ll explore a “different kind of single” and dig into some of the issues we face in our day and age.

Take the Lead is for guys and girls 18 and older who want to explore the keys of leadership. As Christians, we are all commissioned to lead, whether you like being the spokesperson, or are a “behind-the-scenes” person. Come September 13-17 to experiment with your talents, examine your motives, and much more!
