What a fantastic day's racing we had yesterday. Some stellar performances and the grand old warrior Vintage Clouds, rolling back the years.
I just about survived - 6 tips, 3 places, a small loss at advised/non BOG of -0.4 points.
I've had much worse day 1s than that and on reflection I think it was the best I was doing given how I play the game/this week. I certainly wasn't as close to Clouds as I would have liked, but never mind. A heart-warming victory for us enthusiasts. Watching Appreciate It, Shishkin and Honeysuckle was superb also.
In today's members' Festival post i've gone a bit mad with 7 selections, at odds of 4/1, 6/1, 14/1, 10/1, 12/1, 25/1 and 28/1.
I'm feeling in good form, boosted by the fact the regular 'Daily Members Post' tips are sitting on +70 points since the 1st November after our stellar weekend, which is decent.
Still, it's all about the Festival for me this week and it's not too late to join for the remaining 3 days and the weekend's action also.

Really Super
Before I go - I'm aware i've been bombarding your inbox so will now give you some respite. I'll be in touch next week sometime.
In the meantime, our mare, Really Super, runs in the Mares Chase on Friday all being well. The ground is drying out which is massively in her favour, and increases her chances of grabbing a place.
I do think the two Irish mares will be hard to beat, but on decent ground, you never know I suppose. Us in the syndicate and no doubt some at the yard have all had small EW nibbles at 33s-50s, 3 places, for all that the betting is only the cherry on the icing with her - going for win number 8 for us. A star. Do help cheer her home! Hopefully she can grab 3rd, and after that, who knows. But provided she comes back safe and enjoys herself that's the main thing. We will learn plenty. She will be winning more races before the year is out, the quicker the ground the better.
