Ah, well Sporting Boy more than halved in price and got me excited until around 2 from home, before then plodding on. He's got a chase in him from this mark but as my good pal Ben Aitken pointed out in the comments, could do with a change of jockey. I didn't realise Brendan Powell's stats this year were quite so bad. 1/60 in chases this year, for example. That wouldn't have put me off at 25s, but a new rider may give the horse more confidence, and maybe a slight drop in grade/trip.
Anyway, that's been and gone, onto today...
