Subject: Today's 'August Trainer' Qualifiers

Hello Friend

I hope you had a decent weekend.

My trip to Newmarket on Friday was good fun. The Wombats were decent. It wasn't the best card but I landed on one winner at 9/2, which unsurprisingly to me at least was in one of the three handicaps, not in the two novice/maidens or the seller! For those 'through the cards' in future I will try and flag a 'Nap' from the list (or a top 3), which should have been said winner. For those who watched the video hopefully my confidence came through. For all it doesn't always go like that of course!

There was a big group of us watching the race track side and for once they listened to me. Celebrating a group with friends at the races is always great fun, and a relief for me! I did tell them it was my bet of the card, and I staked accordingly. No doubt you're the 'racing guy/gal' and you'll have tipped your friends some winners from time to time when at the races. Very rewarding. The great game.

As for today...

The August Trainers are doing ok so far... 2/11,4p + 4.5 points to morning prices/non-bog. If they can keep that up every 11 bets it will be a solid month again. Time will tell. (research post is HERE>>>)

Today's 'Qualifiers' are below. The 'H' indicates if the horse is Top 3 rated (H1/2/3) within HorseRaceBase Ratings, which can be a useful guide and help with shortlisting if desired.

I've backed them all with my usual 'monthly' trainer stake. Using my 'subjective analysis eyes' I thought Treble Glory could be the most interesting at what was 8s or so this morning.

The one niggle is that he's drawn away from the rail and could get marooned up the middle. However, he is one to note whatever he does here. He's shown promise in novice races and a few of them have worked out well. He's been in and around subsequent winners, some of whom are now rated in the mid 80s, 10lb+ higher than his current mark. I suspect at some point he will show himself well handicapped when it clicks, maybe today. He has shown promise/ability. He takes a big drop in class from his last race which should help.

Nifaliophobia and Piastrella should both go close again I thought, each having won well enough LTO, but that's reflected in their odds. Whether they're value I'm not sure, but that's subjective! They both may bolt up again. Some of the other four below may go close also, all unexposed for all they need to improve on recent efforts to my eyes (one makes his first career start) Hopefully a winner or three below...
