This new approach is run by a chap called Gavin Priestley. I’m sure many of you have heard of him. He runs a great blog. He is close friends with Matt B at Geegeez and some of you may follow his brother, Gary.
He is one of the good guys and was one of the first blogs I stumbled across (via Matt) after my traumatic experience aged 18 (you know, the one where I lost £2650 following a ‘tipster’. We've all been there, haven't we??)
It is probably fair to say that without Gavin I may not have the fascination I do with trainer stats and big race trends. (Ben Aitken helped with that also) These days we all have a slightly different approach..
And here, Gavin has come up with a cracker.
Highway 50 is a groundbreaking new service which helps find big Festival winners using an exciting and completely different approach to the norm. Instead of using form, trends or information from the stable’s, postman’s brother Gavin selects horses based on the races they have been contesting in the run up to the big meetings.
Going back over the last 10 Seasons Gavin has thoroughly researched every race at Royal Ascot (and the Cheltenham Festival for the National Hunt version) to see which races the winners had been contesting previous to running there.
This gives Gavin and his followers an angle that no one else has been looking at and means they are able to obtain massive ante-post prices about their selections.
I find the idea that you know a horse may run a stormer at Royal Ascot because of how it performed in a key trial earlier in the season very exciting.
Now, Gavin has been trialing this new concept in betting for the last 18 months and it has been producing superb results.
In fact, at last year’s Royal Ascot meeting Gavin found 33/1 winner My Dream Boat and followed that up with 20/1 winner Across The Stars. Both backed weeks before the meeting even started...

p.s I wouldn't call this a 'tipster' service as such. Gavin will put up his Ante-Post fancies based on the info/race results etc, that you can just follow in. But it is also perfect for those of you who like to engage in quality content to find your own ways to profit. For me this ability to engage, and have the freedom to also think for yourself, is where the real entertainment comes in.
