I hope your week has started well. 'Team Kaleb', as above, had a great day out at Sandown on Sunday, our lad running a cracker in 2nd, just finding one too strong up the hill, a gap back to the rest. We had x16 owners and friends there, all with parade ring access, and to the O&T bar next to the Winners' Enclosure. It's always great keeping everyone together as socialising is half the fun!
The 'main danger' beat us, receiving 9lb and maybe enjoying the very soft ground a bit more than we did, but if we can keep him in this form, he'll be winning again soon enough. We may head to Cheltenham on the 15th December, what dreams are made of! A 17f 0-140 may be tilting at windmills, but we've always got the option of easier races after that. We'll see how he handles that hill. There is an easier race at Huntingdon a couple of days beforehand, so we shall see. It will depend on the ground also. He's come out of the race bouncing.
Venetia fired home a couple of 4/1 winners over the weekend, on Saturday and Sunday, to keep her superb month going, and that of 'November Angle' qualifiers. Fergal O'Brien fired in a 6/1 winner yesterday for my November angles also, so far, so good! A very profitable month for those angles so far.
