I hope you're looking forward to the weekend. To try and help you solve the punting puzzle that is Saturday's live ITV races I thought I'd send you the list of 'ITV Trainer Pointers' down below.
This is a list of horses representing trainers who've won said race previously, usually going back for the last 13/14 renewals, where the data exists. Trainers who've won the race before should know the type of horse required to get competitive and/or may well have targeted the race again.
These lists usually throw up a few winners (sometimes none of course), the trick is landing on the right ones, which is easier said than done at times. Still, they're useful starting point/way in when often it's hard to know where to look.
I have also included any with a top 4 HorseRaceBase race rating (H1, H2, H3, H4), which again can be useful for shortlisting. We all have different approaches to race analysis and what we put emphasis on, but hopefully you find them a useful starting point. You could then use pace maps to help, the draw, trainer form, focus on unexposed horses, those you think have the best recent form and so on.
